Carrie Howarth, LSW
Clinical Licensure in Progress

Carrie Howarth is a licensed social worker that provides a breadth of experience to make a personal difference.

Carrie provides a safe, warm, compassionate, nonjudgmental approach that is individualized with her clients.  She is enthusiastic to work with children, adolescents, and adults in all types of settings including individual, family, or groups.  She helps strengthen family bonds as well as individual challenges by using strength based and cognitive behavioral approaches.

My Experience and Approach

Carrie has experience as a counselor in school settings, which provides her understanding and insight into the issues that children and teens along with parents face today.  Some of her skill sets that she focuses on include working through anxiety, depression, divorce/family dynamics, self-esteem issues, peer/relationship struggles, parents who are struggling with their students, military deployments/separations, anger management, and life stressors.  Carrie’s 18 years as a military spouse allows her to understand transitional struggles that active duty personnel, spouses and children face.

My History

Carrie received her Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas San Antonio where she primarily focused on working with active duty military members and their families who struggled with PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, and addictions.
